Breville Accessories — Water Filters for Breville Espresso Machines
Replacement Water Filters for Breville Espresso & Coffee Machines
Hard water is the number one cause of espresso machine failure. A fresh activated charcoal water filter removes calcium, chlorine, and scale-forming minerals before they reach your boiler — protecting your Breville and keeping every shot tasting clean.
GoodCups Breville water filters use activated charcoal filtration compatible with the BWF100 filter standard, fitting a wide range of Breville espresso and coffee machines including the Barista Express, Barista Pro, Bambino Plus, Oracle, Dual Boiler, and Infuser series.
How often to replace your Breville water filter:
Breville recommends replacing the water filter every 2 months or every 60 liters of water — whichever comes first. In hard water areas, replace more frequently. A clogged or expired filter increases scale buildup inside the boiler, which shortens machine life and affects extraction quality.
How to Install:
- Soak the new filter in cold water for 5 minutes before installing.
- Rinse under cold running water for 60 seconds.
- Insert it into the filter holder inside the water tank until it clicks into place.
- Run a blank shot (water only) before brewing your first espresso.
Tips for Best Results:
- Even if your tap water tastes fine, scale buildup is invisible — replace the filter on schedule.
- Set a phone reminder every 2 months so you never miss a replacement.
- Always use the filter with the original Breville filter holder.
